  i was in a car acident about 9 months ago and the lawyer handling my case sent me a form today to list my friends who could state what my condition was before the accident and after.

  problem with that is i was a jw for close to 30 years and have been fading for about a year.

  i couldn't get them to do that unless i made a come back to the meetings and i am too glad to be free to ever go back.

  Livingagain,

  Have your lawyer write to the congregation and ask for affadavits from some of your past associates. Perhaps with the lawyers letterhead staring them in the face they will respond rather than project to an outsider a bad image of their congregation, and you won't have to muddy your feet in the hall again.

  To be honest, you people are the only friends I have. So I guess I would have to say, I like it here too. Its like meeting for coffee with my friends every day and not having to get dressed up! Sure ocasionaly some one shows up in a bad mood and wants argue, but all in all this is a great place.

  I would never have thought that any one else would have mentioned the Mighty Heroes!

  That show used to crack me up. I also used to watch Speed Racer and Kimba the white lion.

  Fargin incredible! The hair on the back of my neck is standing on end. The descriptive quality of your writing makes for vivid mental pictures. I felt like I was looking in the window from out in the storm.

  You might consider writing out the events that led up to this instance and those that follow.

  I only hate that you are able to write of this type of thing so easily, because of the wickedness of others, perpetrated on you.

  i don't even know where to begin to broach this subject with my daughters (should they ever speak to me again.

  they are not witnesses, and were never baptized, they are angry at me for something else).... .

  Look at it this way. You may have protected them from drug use, alcahol abuse, inapropriate sexual behavior and unwanted pregnancy. My kids missed out on holidays and stuff, but have developed into appreciative, moral, and happy young adults.

  I have explained to them why I raised them the way I did, and while I no longer associate with the JW'S some of the core values they preach are still of value in real life. Its only their leadership's need to lie, manipulate situations, and harbor child abusers that made me leave.

  You did what you believed was in their best interest and I applaud you for it. Now continue that behavior without the interference of the Dub Dogmas.

  Spike Lee is one of the best film directors working.

  What are you drinking?

  Spike Lee is an idiot, uppity, exploitive, money hungry, wannabe! His films promote sterotyping and in my opinion incite racial tensions. His lates ploy to mug for the camera in the Spike TV thing makes me sick!

  His stuff makes me want to puke. I hope you were being sarcastic in your comment.

  When I heard about Spike TV I didn't think of Spike Lee. When I think of Spike Lee I think of @$$#*!&$
